Schedule Your AAC Parent Training

No child attendance required. These sessions are just for you!
Does your child have an AAC device, but you’re not quite sure how to use it?

Maybe you’re struggling to find words, customize buttons, or figure out how to incorporate the device into everyday activities?

You’re not alone! Learning to use an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device can feel overwhelming at first, but you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

At Project Speech, our speech-language pathologists provide personalized, hands-on AAC training designed specifically for parents and caregivers. Whether you’re just getting started or have specific questions, we’ll help you build the skills and confidence to support your child’s communication at home.

What we can help with:
Looking for more comprehensive, hands-on guidance? Our 60-minute session gives you dedicated time with a speech-language pathologist to explore your child’s AAC system and learn practical ways to support communication throughout the day.
Parents who are new to AAC or want structured guidance and continued support.
Your three sessions include:
Learn the essential features of your child’s AAC system, how to navigate it, and how to make basic adjustments.
Explore ways to model language and create communication opportunities during meals, playtime, reading, and other daily activities.
Review what you’ve learned, address challenges, practice new skills, and develop strategies to continue supporting AAC use at home.
Learning AAC takes practice, and sometimes one session isn’t enough. Our Parent Confidence Package gives you ongoing opportunities to learn, practice, and ask questions as you become more comfortable with your child’s communication system.

What to Expect During Your AAC Training

During Your Session

You’ll work one-on-one with a speech-language pathologist who will walk you through your child’s AAC system, demonstrate features, answer questions, and give you opportunities to practice.

After Your Session

You’ll leave with a better understanding of the device and practical strategies you can use to support communication at home.
